The Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), a proscribed separatist group in the southeast of Nigeria has started distributing flyers and posters to inform residents about the cancellation of the sit-at-home exercise in the region.
The group had before now been enforcing a Sit-At-Home order by its leader, Nnamdi Kanu every Monday to press home their demand for his release.
Introduced in August 2021, the order has significantly affected the security and the economy of the region with many lives and livelihoods lost.
