Medical practitioners in Nigeria under the banner of the National Association of Resident Doctors NARD called off their protest, scheduled for Wednesday.
This was after the government accepted their demands for higher pay and better working conditions during a meeting held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
During the meeting, Senate Speaker Godwill Akpabio and senior officials urged doctors to be patient and understand the government’s constraints in handling economic issues and other healthcare issues.
