The Plateau state government in a Tuesday broadcast is appealing for calm among the citizens, as security operatives including the army move to protect lives and property.

The State governor Caleb Mutfwang told the nation on private media Channels tv, that his administration recently invited stakeholder’s majority of whom are farmers and herders as well as the religious traditional and religious leaders on peaceful co-existence.

He regrets that such gesture fell short of expectations because of a few reasons, among them attempts by individuals to destabilize the state for political benefits and terrorism financing.
