The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps says it is determined to put a stop to illegal mining in the gold-rich Zamfara State, North Western Nigeria. 

The State Commander of the Corps is worried that the activities of illegal miners are jeopardizing the country's economic growth and security. 

He alleged that the perpetrators are making billions of Naira and bandits are also involved in these illicit activities.
