Nigeria's Justice Minister and Attorney General, Abubakar Malami, has said the federal government is ready to take all necessary actions including a declaration of State of Emergency in the South Eastern State of Anambra.
This, he said is to ensure the protection of the sanctity of the country's democratic process.
This is in response to the increasing spate of attacks on Independent National Electoral Commission's facilities and other government institutions by gunmen and arsonists as the governorship election in the State draws nearer.
The minister was briefing State House reporters after the Federal Executive Committee meeting on Wednesday.
