In Nigeria, the House of Representatives Committees on Petroleum Resources (Downstream and Midstream) have called on security agencies to take action against fuel marketers engaging in hoarding and arbitrary price hikes, exacerbating the fuel queues across the country.
In a joint statement signed by Chairmen Ikenga Ugochinyere and Henry Okojie, the lawmakers said they have engaged with stakeholders in the petroleum distribution value chain from where they found out the act of sabotage creating artificial scarcity of Petroleum Motor Spirit.
