Recall on September 29th the government demolished 104 buildings across 4 communities and Edo state. The government denies allegations of illegal activity. The state says that the demolished buildings in question were encroaching on government-owned land which was acquired back in 2017. According to the governor, he plans to develop a new town project on that lot.

Osagie Wealth Efe, a developer whose residence and four other properties were demolished has taken center stage and has not only called Nigerians but the whole world to come to his rescue. The victim of the demolitions says that he, his pregnant wife, and 3 children were forced into homelessness.
