A mass burial has been held for 140 victims of a petrol tanker explosion in Majiya town, in Jigawa state, Nigeria.

The tragedy occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle, following which residents attempted to scoop fuel from the overturned tanker, triggering the blast.
