Residents of Trademore Estate, Lugbe, a satellite town in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, are still coming to terms with the extensive damage caused by heavy flooding on Friday.
The torrential rain began at 8:30 in the evening and continued for approximately four hours, resulting in severe destruction to properties and disruption of normal activities.
WADR’s Abuja Correspondent, Usman Umar, visited the scene a day after the incident and discovered that many residents in the estate have chosen to relocate to safer areas within the city.
