An environmental expert is calling on the Nigerian government to take urgent measures to avert an impending but preventable flooding disaster. 

This followed the Nigeria Hydrological Survey Agency (NIHSA) flood outlook report for the 2024 rainy season, which predicts that over thirty of Nigeria’s thirty-six  states are expected to be affected by flooding during the rainy season.
