Ministers of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) have convened in Abuja for the 53rd Mediation and Security Council (MSC) session.

The meeting focuses on regional peace, security, and cohesion, with particular attention to the escalating crisis in the Sahel.

ECOWAS aims to reinforce strategies to combat insecurity and strengthen cooperation among member states for sustainable peace.
