Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, has called for a more strategic and collaborative approach to counter-terrorism efforts across the country. He emphasized the need for innovative tactics and stronger coordination among security agencies to tackle the persistent threats of insurgency and violent extremism.

Speaking at a high-level security forum, General Musa highlighted the evolving nature of terrorism and the necessity for intelligence-driven operations. He stressed that a unified national security framework would be crucial in addressing security challenges effectively.

The call comes amid rising concerns over terror activities in parts of Nigeria, including the North East and North West regions. Security experts have echoed his sentiments, urging a comprehensive strategy that integrates military action, intelligence sharing, and community engagement.

As the Nigerian government intensifies its fight against terrorism, stakeholders are expected to explore new policies and reinforce inter-agency cooperation to strengthen national security.
