The Centre for Democracy and Development, one of the Election monitoring groups in the recently concluded governorship election in Ondo State, South West Nigeria, has given a pass mark to the Independent National Electoral Commission and the security agencies for what it describes as a general improvement of the electoral process.
The Chairman of the Election Analysis Unit of the Centre, Dr. Adele Junadu, who made the remarks at a press briefing to report the Centre's observations on the election over the weekend, also observed that there are still gaps such as vote buying and progressive decline in voter turn out.
