The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has disclosed the allocation of 2.15 million bags of assorted fertilizers valued at N100 billion (approximately 62.1 million USD) to the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security.
This move is aimed at curbing the rising food inflation in the country.
The CBN Governor, Dr. Olayemi Cardoso made this announcement during a meeting with the Ministers overseeing the Ministry, Senators Abubakar Kyari and Sabi Abdullahi, alongside Minister of Budget and National Planning, Alhaji Atiku Bagudu, on Wednesday in Abuja.
