Nigeria and Senegal fined by FIFA

FIFA, the world football governing body has fined Nigeria and Senegal for their violent acts against the rules of the beautiful game.

Nigeria has been ordered to play one match behind closed doors and also pay a fine of 150,000 Swiss francs ($154,000) by FIFA for failure to implement existing safety rules and throwing of objects in their World Cup Qualifiers vs Ghana on March 29 in Abuja.

A match that saw Ghana knockout Nigeria qualify for the world cup 2022.

Also, FIFA has ordered Senegal to play one match behind closed doors and also pay a fine of 175,000 Swiss francs (almost $180,000) for the use of lasers, lighting of fireworks, invasion of the pitch, and failure to maintain order and security during their World Cup Qualifier vs Egypt on March 29 at the Stade du Senegal.

A match that saw Senegal win against Egypt to qualify for the World cup 2022 after multiple Egyptian players missed penalties thanks to helping from the laser lights flashed onto their faces.
