Community members inNigeria’s capital Abuja and around the area have been left frustrated by the seeming inaction of security agencies to address the growing insecurity situation they are faced with. 

The residents who say they are in a crisis have as a result resorted to forming self-help groups and vigilante organizations to secure their homes as kidnappings and killings continue unabated.
