Nigeria’s police operatives have announced a renewed crackdown on criminals, particularly kidnappers in and around the capital, Abuja.

In response to frequent attacks resulting in the abduction of citizens in Abuja and neighboring states, the police established a Special Intervention Squad dedicated to curbing these criminal gangs.
