The Nigerien government and the European Union have successfully concluded four financing agreements valued at 53 billion CFA francs.
These agreements were officially signed by Hassoumi Massaoudou, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, and Salvador Pinto, the European Union Ambassador, during the past weekend.
The allocated funds will specifically target the water, energy, agriculture, and security sectors.
As stated by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, this financial support will significantly improve the daily lives of the people.
Massaoudou emphasized that the support received from the European Union is aligned with two strategic frameworks, namely the Time Europe initiative and the GEAT WAY global strategy.
The Time Europe initiative aims to promote effective project implementation, ensuring that initiatives supported by the European Union have a tangible and positive impact on the ground.
While The GEAT WAY global strategy emphasizes the need for quality projects that address specific development challenges, thereby fostering sustainable growth and transformation.
