Some suspected terrorists operating in the tri-border area of Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger were arrested on September 12 in the Tillabéri region.
They were apprehended by the Nigerien Battalion of the G5 Sahel Joint Force stationed in the Department of Téra in western Niger.
The terrorists are currently held at the Central Office for Combating Terrorism and Organized Crime in Niamey.
