Niger has introduced free roaming for calls and messages, allowing users with a phone plan to travel and receive calls at no additional cost, similar to users in other AES member countries.
This initiative was formalized through the signing of a memorandum of understanding that establishes free roaming services for member states.
The decision has been widely welcomed in Niger, particularly by the National Coordination of the Citizens’ Committee for Combating the High Cost of Communication.
