The Gambia River Basin Development Organization OMVG has constructed over 1000 KM square of high tension 225 KV power transmission lines plus 15 sub-stations within the member countries
These transmission lines, according to officials, will strengthen cooperation between OMVG member states after a closed-door meeting with President Barrow on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the Samba Ngalo Hydropower Dam which is under construction is expected to produce 128 megawatts of electricity allowing an irrigation of 90 hectares of land in Gambia and Senegal
