In Ghana, findings from the Central Bank revealed that Banks and other financial institutions recorded a total loss value of 5 million U.S. dollars attributable to fraud for the year ending 2022.
The report by the Financial Stability Department of the Bank of Ghanahighlighted forgery and manipulation of documents, fraudulent withdrawals, cheque fraud, emailand cash theft also known as cash suppression as the top five fraud activities.
