The electoral campaign for the constitutional referendum in Mali is currently underway, with active participation from both sides representing “Yes” and “No.”

Amid this campaign, Bamako is intensifying its mediation efforts to obtain approval for its proposed new constitution.

However, in the region of Kidal, which is situated in the northern part of the country and under the control of former rebels, there is opposition from civil society organizations and various groups regarding the conduction of the referendum in that region.
