Benin Republic emerges as Africa’s number one cotton producer after Mali, the leading country in 2022 dropped three places.
The Coastal State’s position was announced at the last meeting of the Regional Program for Integrated Cotton Production in Africa (PR-PICA) held in Abidjan.
Despite being the first, however, Benin’s harvest is below the desired outcome like other countries.
