Liberia is observing its annual Fast and Prayer Day, following a presidential proclamation declaring the Second Friday in April as a National Holiday.
The Day was set aside by the Legislature in 1883 as a Day of Supplication, Prayer, Fasting, and Meditation to seek the blessings of the Almighty God upon Liberia.
