Dozens of African government delegations are expected in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa on Wednesday for the Opening session of the 37th African Union conference.
There are several burning issues on the table, including the postponement of the presidential election in Senegal and the withdrawal of the central Sahel countries from ECOWAS.
The gathering will also scrutinize various military-diplomatic conflicts, assessing the efficacy of existing settlement mechanisms. Are these mechanisms sufficient for resolving the current conflicts?
