In Nigeria, the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has said that the change of the national anthem will contribute to the reduction in banditry in the country.
Nigeria recently changed its national anthem from ‘Arise O Compatriots’ to the newly re-adopted anthem, “Nigeria, We Hail Thee,” after President Ahmed Tinubu signed into law the bill to revert to the old national anthem which was dropped by a military government in 1978.
