Migrant smuggling has resumed in the Agadez region of Niger, as several smugglers are using the route to make their way to Libya and Algeria according to an NGO.
Several smugglers arrive at the Agadez public Transport square mainly Tuesdays and Thursdays of the week, and depart for Europe in loaded vehicles.
The resumption of migrant smuggling in Northern Niger follows the ruling military Junta’s cancellation of the decree banning the transport of migrants in the country.
