No health worker has been admitted to hospital in Mali after being vaccinated against Covid-19, as a rumor on the whatsapp messaging platform claims.

A widely shared whatsapp message over the weekend reports that four nurses have been admitted to the Mali Hospital for serious post-vaccine adverse effects.

But after checking with officials at the hospital in Mali, it is claimed that no health worker has been admitted to this hospital because of the serious side effects of the coronavirus vaccination.

According to Dr. Boubacar Sidiki Ibrahim Dramé , covid focal point at the hospital in Mali, no health worker has yet been hospitalized in any hospital for side effects. Also he affirms that he is not aware of the existence of an association by the name of AMAMAS.

Deborah Amuwo reports.
