The Malian armed forces have announced that they have repelled terrorist attacks in the localities of Ménaka and Labbézanga in the Gao region.
In a press release, the General Staff of the Armed Forces said it had neutralized around ten terrorists.
According to the military authorities, the operations resulted in the arrest of around twenty people and the recovery of vehicles, motorcycles and weapons.
In addition, the telephone network has been cut off in Ménaka.
