In the Malian Capital – Bamako, young people united in the campaign against frequent power outage, STOP delestage, organized a sit-in in front of the only electricity supply company in the country on Thursday.
Described as an unauthorized sit-in, security personnel were quickly deployed to disperse crowd.
Some demonstrators were arrested during this sit-in.
It should be noted however, that about this time of each year, between the period of March and May, the City experiences constant power cuts.
