In a correspondence addressed to the Minister of Civil Service, Mali’s National Union of Workers in State Administration (Syntade) requests the immediate halt of legal proceedings initiated by the National Office for the Fight against Illicit Enrichment against civil servants.
But the letter has been deemed as shameful by Professor Clément Dembélé, president of the Platform for the Fight against Corruption and Unemployment.
As Adolphus Mawolo reports, this is not the first time that SYNTADE expresses its opposition to the investigation of civil servants accused of corruption.
