Mali are through to the final round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification following a 3-0 victory over Rwanda on Thursday.

Rwanda had a false start to the game as they were reduced to ten men after Djihad Bizimana latched on Ibrahima Kone in the eighth minute. Bizimana was shown a straight red card leaving the hosts with ten men inside ten minutes of play.

In the 20th minute, Mali broke the deadline through Moussa Djenepo before Ibrahima Kone added the second just after two minutes to make it 2-0.

Three minutes to stoppage time, Kalifa Coulibaly grabbed the third with a powerful header that gave Emery Mvuyekure no chance.

The victory was enough for Les Aigles as they topped Group E and progressed to the FIFA WC Qualifiers last round to join Morocco and Senegal.

Uganda's hopes of making it to the finals were crashed as they settled for a 1-1 draw with Harambee Stars earlier at St Mary's Stadium, Kitende.

Mali vs Uganda tie in Agadir on Sunday is a dead rubber.
