MALI: The government records a drop in sales of livestock after ECOWAS sanctions

Mali has attributed its fall in revenue from exports to the ban on livestock exports imposed by the transitional authorities in response to the economic and financial sanctions imposed by ECOWAS and UEMOA.

According to a recently published report by the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO), Mali’s balance of payments for 2022 indicates total exports at 335 billion CFA Francs compared to 2021.
