In Mali, Prime Minister Major General Abdoulaye Maïga has met with a collective of teachers from the Menaka region to discuss the return of educational services to the area amid ongoing insecurity.
Fousseyni Koné, the collective’s spokesperson, emphasized the need for measures to ensure teachers’ safety, including secure transport from Bamako to Menaka, medical evacuation plans, and adequate housing and food provisions.
The meeting highlights the government’s efforts to restore education in conflict-affected regions.
