A coalition of political parties during the weekend called on the Malian transitional authorities to organize elections by 2022 as earlier mentioned in the charter.

This demand by the coalition comes against the backdrop of the state’s alleged reluctance towards the implementation of the transition calendar.

Per the charter, Mali should return to civilian rule by February 2022.
