The Minister of Reconciliation and Peace has visited Kidal.

Colonel Ismaël Wagué celebrated the National Day of Regaining Sovereignty in Kidal on Sunday, following the sanctions imposed on the country by ECOWAS on January 9, 2022. This marks the first official visit by a member of the transitional government since the army took control of the city in November.

Upon his arrival in the northern region, now under the control of the Malian state, Ismaël Wagué met with community leaders who expressed their willingness to participate in the inter-Malian dialogue.

Colonel Major Wagué once again invited the populations who fled the fighting between the Malian armed forces and the permanent strategic framework to return to the city.

It is worth noting that this visit by Colonel Ismaël Wagué is part of the celebration of the second edition of the National Day of Recovered Sovereignty.
