The Malian administration is deploying in the town of Ber in the Tombouctou region, marking a significant milestone in the country’s stabilization efforts.
Ber was the first town recaptured by the Malian army in August 2023 as part of its campaign to retake the Kidal region from northern armed groups.
Nearly a year later, the state services are now being deployed in Ber, signaling a new phase in the region’s development.
