The Malian army has declared a successful prevention of an infiltration attempt by armed terrorist factions in the Ménaka region in northern Mali.

During an exchange of gunfire, three assailants were reportedly neutralized.

the army also announced the destruction of a terrorist base in Mourdiah, the southwest of the country which had previously come under assault just over a week prior.
