Ghana’s President John Mahama has issued a stern warning to government appointees who have not declared their assets, giving them until March 31, 2025, to comply or face dismissal.
Speaking at the launch of a new Code of Conduct at the Jubilee House on Monday, May 5, the President said that asset declaration is key to promoting transparency and fighting corruption.
Those who miss the deadline will also forfeit three months’ salaries, which will be redirected to the Ghana Medical Trust Fund.
President Mahama reiterated his commitment to clean governance and urged all appointees to lead by example in matters of accountability.
