Low electricity supply to Ghana’s Korle-Bu mortuary affects corpses preservation

The mortuary of Ghana’s oldest medical centre, the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra is at the mercy of constant decline in electricity supply to the facility, thereby affecting the refrigerators used in the preservation of corpses. 

The situation has forced families to transfer the bodies of their dead relatives to private mortuaries, which they say are expensive.
