Liberia’s Supreme Court has taken decisive action by holding three government officials in contempt of court. Their refusal to appear before the court in response to contempt charges led to this outcome.
These officials were initially invited to present their cases and defend themselves against allegations of bringing the court into public ridicule.
The alleged misconduct stemmed from their public reaction following the delivery of a not-guilty verdict in the high-profile $100 million cocaine case.
