Liberian President Joseph N. Boakai, Sr. has with immediate effect canceled the positions of all Ambassadors-at-Large, Special Envoys, and Trade and Investment Representatives.

At a press conference on October 24, 2024, hosted by the Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs, and Tourism (MICAT), Information Minister Jerolinmek M. Piah announced that re-appointments will be made based on the current governance priorities of the country.

Minister Piah assured that the re-appointment process will be conducted with respect and transparency, adding that all former appointees will be formally notified and thanked for their service to the nation.
