The National Police in Liberia has initiated an investigation into circumstances surrounding the death of 35-year-old Joshua Solomon, a member of the governing Coalition for Democratic Change—CDC.
Solomon was reportedly assaulted by supporters of the main opposition Unity Party.
Speaking to reporters over the weekend, Moses Carter, spokesperson for the Liberian National Police, stated that initial medical reports indicated Solomon’s cause of death as internal bleeding.
He assured the public that the perpetrators would be apprehended and brought to justice.
