More than a dozen political parties on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding geared towards protecting and safeguarding the votes of the Liberian people.

An estimated two-point eligible voters are expected at the polls for the October 10 presidential and legislative elections.

The 16 parties agreed to jointly train poll watchers, deployment of a united opposition agent at all polling centers, and ensure the support to opposition candidates or where parties do not have candidates.
