A Criminal Court B Judge in Liberia Nelson Chinneh has acquitted Lucas Richards, an American national who was standing trial for an alleged attempt to commit murder.

The American national who doubles as a missionary was arrested on allegation that he slit the throat of his fiancée— Jessica Lloyd outside Monrovia in 2023.
