President Joseph Boakai has issued Executive Order No. 145 to strengthen the fight against corruption in Liberia. The order amends and renews Executive Order No. 126, extending the mandate of the Asset Recovery Task Force for another year.

This move reinforces the administration’s zero-tolerance policy on corruption, ensuring stricter enforcement and oversight. The government aims to build an airtight system capable of tackling financial mismanagement and related offenses.

With this extension, the task force is expected to intensify efforts to recover stolen assets and hold corrupt officials accountable. The initiative aligns with Boakai’s broader agenda of governance reform and transparency.
