Liberia: Police restore calm following days of violent protest at mining company

The Liberia National Police has restored calm at the Bea Mountain Mining Company, following days of violent protest.

According to Police Spokesman Moses Carter, three of the ring-leaders who organized the protest have been arrested after they set ablaze one of the company’s vehicles and vandalized the Inspector General of Police’s Vehicle.
