Liberian outgoing Chief of Army Staff—Prince Charles Johnson has underscored the need to depoliticize the Armed Forces of Liberia.

The Chief of Army Staff was recently retired by President Joseph Boakai and nominated as Defense Minister, pending confirmation by the Liberian Senate.
