The December 18, 2024, fire that destroyed the joint chambers of Liberia’s Parliament has been confirmed as an act of arson, according to the joint security investigation.
Inspector General of Police, Colonel Gregory Coleman, announced the findings during a press conference on January 8, 2025. While several persons of interest have been identified, their identities remain undisclosed to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation.
Colonel Coleman stated that those identified have been invited for questioning and warned they could face arrest if they fail to cooperate.
